New work at North Street Gallery

David returns to North Street Gallery from May - June 2024 to be among some of Bristol's finest artists!

David brings this time a new selection of pieces created and inspired by South Wales and the Welsh writer Dylan Thomas; his picturesque boathouse where he wrote and his local pub Browns Hotel.

David’s strong illustrative instinct spontaneously fluctuates between strong confident detailed lines to light, free flowing and almost animated textures. His style resonates with poetry; Thomas’ Romanticism, with its particular emphasis on imagination, emotion, intuition, spontaneity, and organic form.

David has included Swansea’s 12th Century Oystermouth Castle in this set of images as a historic backdrop to the Welsh purview.

David will be Stewarding at the gallery on selected days so looks forward to meeting you!
